Terms Of Service
Please read the following terms and conditions carefully. By signing up with UNSC, you agree to abide by the following terms. Contact us if you have any questions.

WebTV Users

Our primary news servers are accesible only by news reader programs. We do have a Web2News set up that enables WEBTV users and others (not WebTV users) wishing to use a web browser interface to view our news groups via a web browser interface. This is a good product for viewing news groups and posting to news groups using only a web browser interface. It is slower and a bit more cumbersome than traditional news readers. Unfortunately you don't have much choice, since WebTV is not programable or configurable nor can you install a news reader program. WebTV users and those who wish to use the interface should be aware that we do not guarantee that all news groups that are available through regular news readers will be available via Web2News gateway.

Privacy and Security
Computer security and privacy are complex issues. It is important to understand these points:

We will cooperate with law enforcement officials and with other system administrators in the legitimate investigation of suspicious activity. Intentional violations of the privacy of other users, whether on our system or at another site, will be grounds for immediate termination of your account and may lead to criminal prosecution or civil penalties. We will not disclose the contents of private customer files without a court order.

Controversial and Explicit Material
We cannot be and are not responsible for the contents of any of your communications through UNSC. We do not permit the posting of illegal or copyrighted materials through our news servers. Anyone found attempting to post such materials will have their posting priveledges removed.

Account Usage
UNSC accounts are single-user accounts. This means that only one login from your account is allowed at a time, and the owner of the account (or their immediate family) is the only person allowed to use that account.

In addition to our usage policies, we also have rules prohibiting the repeated posting of inappropriate articles ("spamming") from a UNSC user account. Violation of the usage policies or rules may result in the termination of your UNSC user account.

Billing and Settlement
Continuing Service Invoice Continuing services will be billed in advance. Each month's invoice will be generated on or near your monthly billing anniversary date. Payment is due upon receipt.

Your one month and three month membership accounts will automatically be renewed at the end of each service period, repeating the length of the previous service period, unless you specify otherwise. Six month and one year memberships are not automatically renewed.

Payment
UNSC will accept payment via credit card or on-line check (US only) only. We will attempt to charge your credit card for any balance on your account. If the second charge attempt for an invoice fails, service will be suspended. Service will be resumed when you resign up through our join pages.

Cancellation
Cancellations must be entered in five (5) days prior to the next service period for them to take effect before that billing period. Cancellations submitted less than five (5) days prior to the next billing period will take effect after the following billing period. UNSC does not prorate service. Your service, and thus your billing, is in whole month increments. Service can be cancelled from http://www.ccbill.com/. Otherwise, all accounts are renewed automatically.

Refunds
No refunds will be given under any circumstances, including prepaid accounts or accounts deleted for violation of our Acceptable Use Policy.

Indemnify and Hold Harmless
You are responsible for all actions that occur in regards to your account. As a condition of service, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless UNSC, its officers, employees, agents, and shareholders, for any cause of action out of your account with use or your use of the service.

Termination of Service
UNSC, reserves the right to terminate or refuse service to anyone, at any time, for any reason. The policies contained within may change at any time without notice.
